Comprised of a passionate team, the Inside And Out Project is dedicated to making a meaningful impact on youth and families. We are committed to mentoring, supporting, guiding, encouraging, educating, and empowering young individuals.

DAYA WRIGHT - President/Treasurer

The founder of the Inside And Out Project, Daya, is a military veteran with an engineering background, having served for over 11 years managing Airman and Civilian staff. With a Master’s degree in Psychology, she also has prior experience in starting and running a successful personal training business. Daya is deeply passionate about youth outreach, aiming to inform them of their options and expose them to new opportunities.

John Covington -

Vice President

Originally from the Bronx, NY, this individual is a USAF Veteran and a strong advocate for positive peer pressure and youth development. They concentrate on community organization and instigating change through programs that involve the community. They have been with IAOP since its establishment and are highly motivated, with additional strengths in leadership, innovative thinking, and professionalism. Their goal is always to make a positive impact and leave a lasting impression.

Avery Utley -

Avery is a retired US Air Force Veteran with a background in Engineering and Project Management, currently residing in the DMV area. He is a passionate youth advocate and a supporter of youth sports, with prior experience coaching youth basketball and serving as a Team Leader for KUDOS (Kids Understanding Deployments Operations).

Tiffany Scales -

Secretary

Alabama Native, Tiffany Scales, currently serves in Houston, TX as an Adaptive Behavioral Teacher and in the public sector through Arts and Humanities.

Monique Rocchild -

Board of Directors

Monique, a U.S. Air Force Veteran, serves as the Executive Director of HBCU Hoops Global. Born in Fayetteville, N.C., to parents who served in the Army and Air Force, Monique had the opportunity to travel the world. This experience exposed her to diverse cultures and taught her how to engage with people from various backgrounds. Ms. Rocchild is also an enthusiastic Ambassador and Advocate for the Inside and Out Project.

Haywoode Workman -

Board of Directors

Haywoode, a visionary from Charlotte, N.C., is among three former NBA players and the second African-American to become an NBA Official. He officiated 590 regular-season games over 13 seasons. Haywoode also spent four seasons officiating in the NBA G League and refereed in the CBA.

Mr. Haywoode Workman has created a pre-season, non-conference basketball tournament exclusively for HBCUs. This tournament is focused on providing students and student-athletes with equal footing, meaningful education, and adequate career preparation through scholarships, leadership development, and experiential opportunities, enabling them to thrive.
